Applications:

The Moog D661-1719F pilot-operated servo valve is engineered for high-power industrial electrohydraulic loops that demand large volumetric flow capacities (up to 250 l/min) and robust noise immunity. Utilizing a 4-20 mA current command loop, it is ideal for long-distance signal transmission in harsh environments. This valve excels in precise closed-loop control of position, velocity, and force within heavy-duty machinery. Typical applications include high-speed plastic injection and blow molding equipment, heavy die-casting machinery, high-tonnage metal forming presses, automated steel mill rolling positioners, and dynamic structural testing rigs.

Precautions:

1. Pilot Contamination Defense: The micro-orifices of the ServoJet pilot stage are highly vulnerable to particulate silting. Installing an absolute high-pressure, non-bypass filter ($\beta_{10} \ge 75$) with a continuous clogging indicator directly upstream is mandatory.

2. External Drain (Y Port): To shield the valve’s dynamic linearity and null stability from return line backpressure shocks, connecting an independent external pilot drain (Port Y) is highly recommended.

3. Flushing Protocol: Never route initial startup fluid through the valve; the entire hydraulic circuit must be thoroughly flushed using a dedicated temporary flushing plate prior to final installation.
