The D662-4102 is specifically engineered for large-scale industrial automation where high flow volumes must be managed with surgical precision. It is a critical component in heavy-duty plastic injection molding machines, metal die-casting equipment, large metal forming presses, and high-load material testing rigs. The ServoJet® pilot stage is particularly advantageous in these settings because it generates high spool-driving forces, allowing the valve to maintain stable and rapid response even under heavy loads and high-frequency cycles.

Precautions for Use:

  1. Strict Fluid Cleanliness: To ensure the longevity of the precision metering edges, maintain hydraulic fluid cleanliness at ISO 4406 17/14/11 or better. For standard operation, do not exceed 19/16/13.

  2. Upstream Filtration: A high-pressure filter with a rating of $\beta_{10} \geq 75$ must be installed directly upstream of the valve without a bypass. This protects the sensitive ServoJet® pilot orifices from catastrophic failure due to debris.

  3. Electrical Grounding: Use shielded cables for all control signals. The shield must be connected to the mating connector housing to comply with EMC requirements and prevent electromagnetic noise from affecting the integrated electronics.

  4. System Flushing: Never use the D662 valve to flush a new or repaired hydraulic system. Always use a flushing plate to clear the piping before installing the servo valve.

  5. Pilot Pressure: Ensure the pilot supply pressure is stable and at least 25 bar (360 psi) above the return pressure. Insufficient pilot pressure will lead to sluggish response times and reduced control accuracy.

  6. Manifold Flatness: The mounting manifold must be flat within 0.01 mm per 100 mm. Distortion of the valve body during tightening can cause the internal spool to stick or increase internal friction.
