Utilizing conical rollers and raceways arranged so that the rollers and raceways meet at a common apex, NTN’s tapered roller bearing rollers are guided by contact between the large end of the roller, providing high capacity for radial and single thrust loads.

The case carburization process creates a hardened steel “case” around the outside of the roller bearing while leaving a soft core.
NTN’s pioneering efforts in developing crowned rollers have resulted in greater load-carrying capability and longer bearing life.
NTN offers tapered roller bearings in ISO (metric), inch and J-metric series with single-row (cone/cup), two-row (back-to-back or face-to-face), double-row (double cup or double cone) and four-row assemblies available.
