| No Discharge / No Flow |
1. Pump rotation is reversed
2. Pump not primed (empty casing)
3. Suction line blocked
4. Broken pump shaft or coupling |
1. Check motor wiring and correct rotation direction
2. Fill the pump casing with clean oil
3. Clean the suction strainer/filter
4. Inspect and replace damaged parts |
| Insufficient Flow or Pressure |
1. Worn internal components
2. Low oil viscosity (too thin)
3. Clogged inlet filter
4. Relief valve stuck open or leaking |
1. Repair or replace the pump
2. Change to the correct hydraulic oil
3. Clean or replace the filter element
4. Inspect, clean, or adjust the relief valve |
| Excessive Noise or Vibration |
1. Air entering the suction line (Aeration)
2. Cavitation (Oil starvation)
3. Misalignment of coupling
4. Worn or damaged bearings |
1. Tighten suction line fittings and check seals
2. Increase oil level, clean suction strainer, or reduce suction lift
3. Re-align the pump and motor shafts
4. Replace the bearings |
| Oil Overheating |
1. Oil viscosity too high (too thick)
2. System pressure set too high
3. Clogged oil cooler
4. Excessive internal leakage |
1. Use oil with the correct viscosity grade
2. Check and adjust the pressure relief valve setting
3. Clean the cooler and check the fan
4. Inspect pump and valves for wear |
| External Oil Leakage |
1. Loose mounting bolts or fittings
2. Damaged seals or O-rings
3. Cracked housing |
1. Tighten all bolts and pipe joints to spec
2. Replace worn shaft seals and gaskets
3. Repair or replace the pump housing |
| Pump Vibration |
1. Loose mounting bolts
2. Misalignment between pump and motor
3. Suction line too small or restricted |
1. Securely tighten the pump base bolts
2. Re-align the pump and motor (use a dial indicator)
3. Check suction line size and remove restrictions |
