Because this model uses a spool/sleeve design and external electronics, it is chosen for applications requiring high repeatability and resistance to chemical fluids:

• High-Precision Positioning: Used in machinery where the tight tolerances of the spool/sleeve design provide superior accuracy over standard spool/body versions.

• Corrosive Environments: The Viton (FPM) seals make this valve suitable for use with specific non-standard hydraulic fluids or in higher temperature environments.

• Centralized Cabinet Control: Ideal for systems where the electronic controllers (like the Parker PWD00A-400) are housed in a central control cabinet rather than on the valve itself.

• Machine Tooling: Controlling small-to-medium hydraulic actuators for feed movements or tool clamping where consistent performance is mandatory.

Important Precautions (Usage Notes)

• External Driver Required: This valve does not have integrated electronics. You must use an external digital power amplifier (such as the Parker PWD00A-400) to drive the proportional solenoids.

• Spool/Sleeve Sensitivity: While more precise, the spool/sleeve design is more sensitive to silt and fine particles than a spool/body design. Strict adherence to ISO 4406 18/16/13 cleanliness is critical to prevent the valve from sticking.

• Seal Compatibility: The V-code (Viton) seals are excellent for heat and chemical resistance, but ensure they are compatible with your specific hydraulic fluid (especially if using environmentally friendly or fire-resistant fluids).

• Tank Port Pressure: Ensure the backpressure at Port T does not exceed 210 bar. High backpressure can counteract the solenoid force and lead to erratic spool movement.

• Air Bleeding: After installation or oil changes, ensure the system is properly bled. Air trapped in the solenoid tubes can cause “spongy” response or instability in the proportional control.
