Because it does not require pilot oil to shift the spool, it is exceptionally stable in systems that experience high vibration or varying supply pressures, making it ideal for maintaining consistent velocity and position control in automated production lines.

Precautions for Use:

1. Hydraulic Oil Purity: While direct-drive valves are more contamination-resistant than pilot-operated ones, fluid cleanliness is still paramount. Maintain a level of ISO 4406 < 17/14/11 (NAS 5-6). Always use a 10 μm absolute high-pressure filter directly upstream without a bypass valve.

2. Electrical Shielding: To protect the integrated 24V electronics, all command and feedback signal lines must be fully shielded. Connect the shield to the mating connector housing to prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI) from causing signal “jitter.”

3. Pressure at Port T: Be mindful of the backpressure at the T-port. Without an external leakage port (Y-port), the pressure at Port T must not exceed 50 bar. If your system backpressure is higher, ensure the Y-port is properly connected to the tank.

4. System Flushing: Never mount the valve during the initial flushing of a new hydraulic system. Use a flushing plate to circulate oil first; assembly debris or welding slag can permanently score the precision-ground spool and bushing surfaces.

5. Fail-Safe Logic: In the event of a power failure, the valve returns to its mechanical spring-centered position. Ensure your machine’s safety logic is programmed to handle this specific null behavior to prevent unintended load drift or hazardous movement.
