Application Scenarios: The Moog D661-318D is designed for high-performance industrial applications where fast response and precise control of flow are critical. It is widely utilized in plastic injection molding machines for velocity control of the injection cylinder, as well as in die-casting machines, metal pressing and forming equipment, and high-speed material handling systems. Its robust ServoJet® pilot stage makes it particularly suitable for environments where high reliability and resistance to fluid contamination are required, ensuring stable operation in complex closed-loop electro-hydraulic systems.

Usage Precautions:

• Fluid Cleanliness: To ensure long-term stability and prevent pilot stage clogging, maintain hydraulic fluid cleanliness at ISO 4406 18/16/13 or better. Using a high-pressure filter (without bypass) directly upstream of the valve is highly recommended.

• Power Supply Stability: The integrated electronics require a stable 24 VDC supply. Voltage drops below 18V will trigger the fail-safe mode, causing the spool to move to a predefined safety position.

• Shielding and Grounding: Use high-quality shielded cables for command and feedback signals (pins D, E, and F) to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI), which can degrade control precision.

• Air Venting: During commissioning, ensure all air is purged from the pilot and main stages. Trapped air can lead to instability, noise, and reduced dynamic performance in high-speed applications.
